Node-Locked Licenses

Node-locked licenses are machine-specific licenses. They are locked to the ID of your machine and do not require you to have an active internet connection. The only thing required is for your machine to be able to locate the license locally.

When choosing a MAC address, please do not pick a MAC address related to a dongle, docking station, etc., as this can cause unpredictable license problems.

Accessing the license

  1. Copy the attached license file to a user-defined directory, for example, C:\HighTec\licenses.

  2. After that, set the environment variable RLM_LICENSE to the location of your license file. This allows your toolchain to find your local license. For example, on a Windows cmd command line: set RLM_LICENSE=C:\HighTec\licenses.
