How do I use the UDE?

The UDE is licensed and included in our FETC (Free Entry Toolchain).

The FETC can be accessed from https://free-entry-toolchain.hightec-rt.com/, from there you can generate a license and download the toolchain. This version of the toolchain also includes the PLS UDE.

For instructions on how to run and debug your board with the UDE, please consult the getting started manual provided on the page where you downloaded the toolchain. A more detailed user guide focused on the UDE can be found by accessing the UDE Welcome Page. Open it via the HighTec IDE menu Window → Show View → Other … → Universal Debug Engine → UDE Welcome Page and push the UDE Manual button.

The IDE included with the download of the FETC is different from the commercial version and thus these instructions are only valid for the FETC version.
