Independent Software Vendor. ISV refers to the company, in this case HighTec, that provides the software.

Reprise License Manager. The provider of the license system.

A license that is locked to a single machine and that only serves one user.

A license that runs via a local license server and can serv multiple users.

A locally run server that distributes and validates the floating-cached licenses.

The total amount of license seats available at any one time, pools can be combined of more than one license file if all necessary parameters line up.

This term is used to indicate the possibility to use a license, when you check out a license, you occupy a license seat. When the license is checked back in, a license seat becomes available.
