Set the default toolchain

To set a new default toolchain within the HighTec IDE development platform follow these steps:

  1. Open toolchain manager (Utilities  License & Toolchain Preferences  Toolchain Manager)

  2. Choose your target architecture (PowerPC, TriCore, …​).

    The default toolchain version is displayed by the orange toolchain icon (ide default toolchain icon)

  3. Select the toolchain version to be se as a default for next development.

  4. Click to Set as a default button Set default toolcahin (Not available for current default toolchain)

  5. Click btnApplyAndClose to finish the configuration of the default toolchain.

Once the default toolchain is configured, it is used as a default toolchain for all current and new examples for given architecture except the examples, where you changed the toolchain version manually.
